I thought I’d seen it all in Elden Ring.
After thousands of hours, nightmare randomizers, unfair mods, and enough self-inflicted suffering to concern a medical professional, I figured nothing in this game could still surprise me. Then one of you recommended a mod called After the Shattering.
I expected a tough challenge.
What I got instead was a fever dream forged by Lucifer himself.
This mod takes everything you know about Elden Ring and asks a simple question: “What if we made it worse?” Bosses hit harder, enemies have new tricks, entire areas are reworked, and the game constantly finds new ways to make you regret every decision you’ve ever made. Somehow, it manages to be both incredibly cool and completely unhinged at the same time.
So today, my goal is simple: survive long enough to show you just how cruel this mod can be… and maybe make you appreciate how generous vanilla Elden Ring actually is.
