The universe may have just gotten a lot more crowded.

Scientists used a machine learning system to analyze NASA TESS data from more than 83 million stars.

The algorithm identified over 11,000 exoplanet candidates, including more than 10,000 that were new.

That does not mean every candidate is confirmed.

They still need follow-up observations.

But one candidate, a hot Jupiter, was already confirmed with telescope data.

The wild part is that many of these possible planets were missed because they orbit faint stars.

AI did not invent new planets.

It helped humans notice what was already hidden in the noise.

If even a fraction of these are real, our map of alien worlds is about to explode.
